Last month on May 21st, children and adults alike joined us for our very first free book fair event to celebrate the joy of reading and bridge the “summer slide.” This event included over 3,000 donated books from community members. We would like to thank everyone who donated books to make this event possible for our families, we couldn’t have done it without you! We would also like to thank all the families who joined us to help spread the love of reading throughout our community and support literacy. Don’t worry if you missed us this time, there will be a free book fair event at our Corry office on June 13th from 11am to 4pm during CorryFest.
Community Partner Spotlight
This month we are shining the spotlight on Birth Root Doula Services! Birth Root has been a frequent collaborator in our Diaper Depot program. The doulas at Birth Root are skilled in providing you with a comprehensive care plan, representative support, and ongoing perinatal education.
What’s Happening in your Community?
Join the Blasco Memorial Library for their free Little Explorers event on June 11th from 10am to 11am. This event will take place in the library’s community classroom, with no sign-up required. Featuring a set of toys for children to explore, these events will take place every Thursday through the month of June.
Incredible Years Autism Class – Enroll Now
This evidence-based class helps parents of children with autism strengthen communication, reduce challenging behaviors, and build positive routines at home. Supportive, practical, and empowering. This class is set to begin Tuesday, June 9th from 11:00am to 1:30pm at the Autism Society of NWPA.
