The Incredible Years
The Incredible Years (IY) program is designed to provide parents with social and emotional techniques for managing and minimizing unregulated and aggressive behaviors that may be seen in young children’s behaviors around the ages 6-12 years old.
This two and a half hour session, meets once a week for 14 weeks, features a light mealtime, video examples to encourage discussions, sharing of ideas and problem solving of everyday behavior challenges along with positive parental support and interactions with group participants and well-trained group facilitators.
Incredible Years is available in a variety of alternative formats.

Classes Day Options

Location: In-Home Visits, Erie Family Center, Virtual, Community Location

✓ This program is for parents of children ages 6-12
✓ 2.5 hour group sessions with light meal included
✓ Childcare & Transportation Provided for sessions at Erie Family Center (must be reserved at program enrollment)

Who Can Attend?
Any adult who provides care for a child between the ages of 6-12 are welcome! There are no income requirements to enroll and seats are limited!
Group Structure
Program consists of 6-10 individual parents/adults. The number of groups depends on how many people join the program; some program dates and times may be combined to create a full group.
You will choose your first and second preferred days for the program, but the final schedule will depend on the total number of participants. A referral specialist will reach out to you after you complete your enrollment.

Translations available include, but are not limited to: Spanish, Bosnian, Russian, Ukrainian, Arabic, Vietnamese, Nepali, Swahili, Somali, Burmese, Pashto & Dari.
All of The Incredible Years programs are funded through Erie County of Children and Youth, and free to all residents of Erie County.
