Motherhood Support Program EFC

Motherhood Support Program

The Importance of Motherhood

Motherhood Support caters to the personal development of mother’s or women who are involved in the lives of a child, by providing a safe and supportive group for women to fully understand their importance as a mother in a child/ren’s lives. With the help of qualified group facilitators, women receive supportive techniques to improve family management, anger management, and parenting and co-parenting skills to help you be the best mom you can be.

What can I expect in a support group?

All support groups at The Erie Family Center facilitated by a well-trained facilitator. They are a safe, confidential, judgment-free space where new and expectant mothers can talk about the hard parts of pregnancy, motherhood and just being a mother figure in a child's life. The first part of the group is an opportunity for group members to introduce themselves, and the second part is for members to relate to one another’s experiences, support one another, and feel more connected and less alone as various issues of parenting and motherhood are discussed.
